Ekiti guber poll: Cleric sues for peace , tolerance

Political parties in Ekiti state have been advised to play the game according to the rules in order to ensure the successful conduct of the poll.

A renowned cleric, Pastor Peter Olajide gave the advice in a charts with newsmen in Efon Alaye, Ekiti State.

ROYAL NEWS reports that there have been serious controversies in the state ahead of the Saturday governorship poll.

Pastor Olajide, who is the Minister in charge of Christ Apostolic Church (CAC), Apostle Joseph Ayo-Babalola Tomb, Efon Alaye, said the success of the poll would accelerate more development in the state.

He also advised the leaders and members of political parties across the country to be tolerant.

Pastor Olajide however, called on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to provide enough materials to make the people of the state discharge their civic responsibility by voting for the candidate of their choice.

He also implored the people of the state to be law abiding before, during and after the poll.

The clergyman however called on security agencies in the country not to subject their loyalty to any political parties, but to put in place mechanism that would safe the life and property of the citizen during and after the poll.
